What we did
As the growth of digital media put pressure on print, News UK – owner of The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun newspapers – commissioned a wellbeing programme to help employees build resilience and manage stress. LiveWorkWell led two six-week mindfulness programmes, followed by top-up sessions.
What they said
‘For mindfulness training, we chose to work with Susan at Liveworkwell, because she was knowledgeable, passionate and approachable. In our evaluation, 96% of learners said the course had been beneficial to them in a personal and work context, 100% said they would recommend it to a colleague. Given our intention, it was great to hear people say “it helped with stress and anger” and “it provided practical techniques for use in day to day life to support my mental wellbeing”. – HR director and training manager at News UK
‘Extremely helpful to understand how and why I get stressed at work. And how to deal with it.’ – News UK participant
‘It’s got me to breathe at stressful situations during the week – allowing me to be calmer, clear my thoughts, not worry, put it in context. It’s been really good.’ – News UK participant
‘It has helped me to focus on what I’m doing in the present rather than racing ahead onto the next thing.’ – News UK participant
